Tl dr Cargo trains, cargo trains everywhere. Welp, those 70 trains are there with 50% budget! If I put back the 100% budget how many trains would the game spawn, 300? I've read somewhere that lowering the budget for trains would lower the number of trains that spawn. Many are 7% (some reason a number that comes back a lot). Out of the 70 cargo trains, very few have are than 10% or 20% of capacity. Now I have 3 passenger stations and 13 cargo stations. I did what any good mayor would do: I've built a dedicated cargo station for that area. Then there was lots of traffic from the good industry to a large commerce area, too. So I did what a good mayor would do: I built a second station. But there was this huge queue of trucks getting in and out of a station and a big queue of cargo trains. My city was thriving, my citizens loved me. Some times as many as eleven trains are queued up to a single station - and they don't seem fond of using both platforms either. The problem is not the intersections any more, but the queues waiting to get into the station. There are currently 70 cargo trains on the map, plus 14 passenger trains. I've got a city of 135k pop within the vanilla 9 tiles (quite some space to grow still). Have suggestions for the sidebar / topbar? Mail the mods!
